Troy Newman adopted at birth and raised in San Diego, Troy Newman has over 27 years of leadership experience in business and pro-life ministry.
Troy is a proven strategist and has had great success in growing Christian organizations. His vision and expertise have dramatically reduced the number of abortions and abortion providers across the United States.
Troy’s pro-life work has been featured in the Rolling Stone Magazine, GQ, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, the LA Times, New York Times, and many other print media. An experienced broadcaster, Troy currently co-hosts Life Talk, a monthly video magazine.
As president of Operation Rescue since 1999, Troy has achieved exciting results. His vision and ministry has permanently closed abortion mills and spared babies from abortion. His dynamic leadership has forged bottom line results.
Troy’s innovative legal tactics have closed hundreds of abortion clinics nationwide and successfully prosecuted abortionists. Troy was the architect and innovator of the “Truth Truck” campaign and the “Show the Truth” Tours. Troy worked for eight years in Wichita, KS, to close the nation’s largest late-term abortion clinic.
In a strategic move, Troy closed another Wichita abortion clinic by purchasing the property and evicting the abortionist. Today that former abortion mill is now Operation Rescue’s National Headquarters!
Troy hosted a weekly radio show, Rescue Radio, for nearly 6 years and is a frequent speaker at churches and pro-life functions. Troy has authored 3 books: Their Blood Cries Out, Am I Now Your Enemy for Telling You the Truth, and Refocusing. His upcoming book, Abortion Free, is published by WND.com.
Prior to 1995, Troy worked as an Electronic Engineer for Loral Aerospace and Ford Aerospace. He graduated from Maranatha Bible College and attended Whitefield Theological Seminary. Troy serves on the Board of Advisors to many pro-life organizations and is an ordained Ruling Elder in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA).
Troy’s hobbies are hunting, ranching, and gardening, and he has two Black Belts in Martial Arts.
Troy and his wife, Mellissa, homeschool their five children on a small hobby farm in Kansas.
